Agreed! Horrible idea. If Edwards couldn't pull North Carolina in 2004, it's a stretch to assume he could do so in '08.
I wouldn't mind if Obama tapped Bill Richardson. He has a wide range of experience (Congress, Cabinet, UN, Governor) that could be useful in a new administration.
Richardson does lend some credibility to the ticket. I'm actually most bullish on Jim Webb, though.
Edwards as the VP nominee would give me serious pause. I'm still going to vote for whoever gets nominated by the Democrats, but I think that it would be a deep strategic mistake. If that's the ticket, I think the Dems deserve to get trampled.
